The Department of Biochemistry at the Hamdard Institute of Medical Science and Research and associated HAHC Hospital, Jamia Hamdard, actively involved in laboratory services and teaching, training, and research, involving over 250 students each year.
The faculty is involved in research activities and working on different medical conditions that aim is to contribute to a better understanding of such problems, which is essential to tackle them more effectively.
The clinical laboratory of the department has the facility to conduct specialized tests for hormones, vitamins, and basic metabolic screening in labs that have the latest automated chemistry and Immunoassay analyzers. Currently, there are 7 faculty members and 12 staff members working in the department.
