About

Dr. Megha Maheshwari is a resident of Delhi. She is presently a first year PG Resident in the Department of Anaesthesiology at HIMSR and HAHC hospital.
Dr. Maheshwari graduated from Manipal College of Medical Sciences (MCOMS) Pokhara Nepal in May 2015 and Appeared for FMGE in December 2015, which she qualified in the first attempt. She cleared NEET PG exam with score of 390 in 1st attempt and opted to pursue her post-graduation in MD Anaesthesia.
She is an active participant of various cultural and social activities. Dr. Maheshwari serves the noble cause of the profession by volunteering in various health camps in various primary health care centers.
An all rounder as I must say, she has very good artistic skills for which she has won many prizes. Her participation in CME for world patient safety day and her poster on the same was greatly appreciated.
Her topic of thesis is “Comparison of phenylephrine versus norepinephrine for prevention and treatment of maternal hypotension during spinal Anaesthesia in lower segment caesarean section”. A randomized double blind study.” The novelty of the study is that norepinephrine can be used as an alternative to phenylephrine that would not compromise maternal cardiac function and hence better neonatal outcome is expected.
